Genuine and imitation gold on ceramics
Genuine gold can suit premium and artistic pieces where precious material is part of the product’s value. Imitation leaf allows larger areas and runs at lower cost but needs protection from oxidation, moisture and handling. Approve the tone and shine on the actual glaze or prepared surface.

Cold decoration is different from firing
Do not put standard decorative leaf and adhesive in a kiln unless the specific product is explicitly specified for the temperature and process. For cold application, clean and degrease the surface and check adhesion. Test on smooth glazes and check protective coating compatibility.
